How can WE help you?

Curious if you're missing something, but feel bad asking your instructors another thing?

Check below for our Frequently Asked Questions!

How much are private lesson packages?

Private lessons are $34/30 minutes, $50/45 minute, and $65/1 hour. You let us know how many lessons you want for that term, and we invoice you via Paypal! Easy as that.

How often will I be expected to practice?

Students taking private lessons are encouraged to stick to a consistent practice schedule that fits their needs. Depending on the student’s age and focus, it is recommended that 20-30 minutes of efficient practice happens every day! Your private teacher can help you strategize how to get the most out of the time you have to practice every week.

What is VAFA's Cancellation Policy?

VAFA requires advance notice to your instructor if you are going to be absent, unless in cases of emergency. It is up to the instructor whether or not to schedule a makeup lesson.

For courses or workshops, our cancellation policy is that you must give 1 week's notice to receive a refund.

How does payment work?

All private lesson costs must be paid in full before the third lesson. VAFA will send you an invoice after you confirm your registration, which you can pay via debit/credit card or Paypal. Private lessons will only be refunded if you have had less than three lessons with your instructor. All course and workshop costs must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Full refunds will be issued for courses and workshops according to our cancellation policy. Partial refunds will not be given if you have only attended a portion of a course or workshop.

What is VAFA’s policy on safety?

We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for workplace harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, and discrimination. Unwelcome, hostile, or offensive conduct on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, disability, or age that interferes with an individual’s performance or work environment will be cause for removal from all lessons and courses with VAFA. To ensure the safety of all students and staff, each Zoom meeting will require a password to log in.
